About the opportunity & your mission:

As a Release Manager, you will be responsible for the Release Management lifecycle which includes scheduling, coordinating, and the management of releases across the enterprise for multiple applications across various portfolios. You will also develop, implement, and oversee processes, and utilize information technology infrastructure library (ITIL) best practices. In addition, you will ensure successful deployment with exceptional quality.


You will be trusted with:

  • Implementing and managing release processes for code through development, QA, UAT, and production environments
  • Working with IT management to improve the software engineering processes and practices associated with continuously building, deploying, and updating software and environments
  • Providing of services to help product management and project teams manage, and deploy releases into production, in a fast-paced Agile environment
  • Leading the effort of defining the IT strategic direction for release management tools to ensure appropriate process requirements are built in
  • Building the IT Release Calendar by working closely with the IT project team to create a centralized view of all releases
  • Managing risks and resolves issues that affect release scope, schedule, and quality
  • Assisting in managing projects and interdependencies to ensure milestone adherence and integrity of the release can be measured
  • Conduction of Release Readiness reviews, Milestone Reviews, and Business Go/No-Go reviews, and maintains Produce Deployment, Run Books, and Implementation Plans


Desired Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology (or related field) or relevant work experience
  • Experience with Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) and Agile Development Methodology
  • Previous experience managing the packaging and delivery of software
  • Kubernetes DevOps and Java Development experience
  • Scripting skills (bash, groovy)
  • Other technical Skills such as Bamboo and GIT are desirable
  • Advanced knowledge of software development lifecycle
  • Knowledge of ITIL standards and best practices is advantageous
  • Deployment Automation tools are a plus
  • Experience in a high paced environment with an emphasis on process improvements is preferable
  • Self-motivated with a demonstrated ability to take initiative
  • Ability to prioritize conflicting tasks while staying flexible and responsive
  • Positive outlook, patience, and strong relationship-building skills
  • After hours and on-call work is required at crucial times during the release cycle
  • Ability to plan the release windows and cycles across a portfolio
  • Very good English knowledge (spoken and written)

For legal reasons we have to indicate the gross annual salary which starts at € 34.454 according to our collective agreement. We are ready and willing to offer you far more than the starting figure, depending on your professional experience and qualifications.
